The Blacksburg Community Band holds rehearsals every Wednesday evening, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. (except for the months of July and August) in the Blacksburg High School band room at 3109 Prices Fork Road in Blacksburg.
You are welcome to come to our next rehearsal and try us out. Bring your instrument! There are no auditions; come, sit in with us, play as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and have a good time!

Blacksburg Community Band Membership
Membership in the band is open to individuals of all ages and ability levels from the New River Valley and surrounding areas. No auditions are required and there are no dues or fees. Members volunteer their time and talents, and will often come late to rehearsal or leave early. The emphasis is placed upon the enjoyment of making music.
Current members range in age from teenagers to senior adults. They include students, housewives, managers, engineers, retailers and teachers, to name a few. All share the common bond of having fun by making music and sharing this joy with the community.
